The Day I Met Draco Malfoy

GUYS I MET TOM FELTON. *SWOONS UNCONTROLLABLY* He was recently at the Calgary Comic Con and Entertainment Expo so after joyously emptying my entire bank account on the tickets and waiting in line for over an hour I got to meet my childhood idol. He was the absolute sweetest and he even called me "love" in his beautiful British accent sooooo I can basically die happy now. Harry Potter has and will always be the book series that has effected me the most deeply and shaped me into the person I am today so meeting Tom was a dream come true. Heres a pic of him and my copy of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone that I got signed. :)

Unpopular Opinion Book Tag

12/28/2015

Alright, its been a while since I've done a book tag on here (apologies), so I say its about time for another one! Ive seen this tag EVERYWHERE on Youtube and it looks like a lot of fun so lets try it! Not to mention, what better way to start off the New Year then with ranting about all the books we hate?

Anyway, I present to you, the Unpopular Opinion Book Tag!

1.) A popular book or series that you didn't like.

Answer: The Falling Kingdoms series by: Morgan Rhodes. There has been TONS of hype surrounding this series for such a long time but recently, when I gave them a try, I absolutely hated them. I'm a huge fan of fantasy etc, but these books were flat, boring, and extremely unmemorable for me. Sorry not sorry!!

2.) A popular book or series that everyone else seems to hate but you love.

Answer: Twilight by: Stephanie Meyer. IM SORRY OKAY?! I am completely aware of the fact that these books are extremely poorly written and all that but they are my absolute guilty pleasure and I am not ashamed. Give me Twilight and a carton of ice cream and id be quite the happy lady.

3.) A love triangle where the main character ended up with the person you DID NOT want them to end up with, OR an OTP that you didn't like.

Answer: Katniss and Peeta from the Hunger Games. This quite an unpopular pinion but I actually hated Peeta with a burning passion the first time I read the books. I am Team Gale all the way baby! Thats why I was extremely disappointed with the way that the trilogy ended because I just wanted that little blond weasel dead. :) Gale was WAY better for her in my opinion.

4.) A popular book genre that you hardly reach for.

Answer: Manga and Graphic Novels. I don't really know if this qualifies as a genre but Im putting it anyway. graphic novels have become extremely popular these days but I am not interested in them what so ever. I think its because I like being able to envision how characters and settings look in my own head without relying on pictures!

5.) A popular or beloved character that you did not like.

Answer: Tessa from the After series by: Anna Todd. For those of you who don't know, this series started out as a One Direction fan fiction on Wattpad and has since been published and have become extremely popular. I have a ton of friends who are obsessed with these books and recommended them to me but I absolutely HATED THEM SO MUCH. AND IT WAS ALL BECAUSE OF THE STUPID MAIN CHARACTER. I don't think I have ever read about someone who was as dumb as she was.

6.) A popular author that you can't seem to get into.

Answer: J.R.R. Tolkien. I have literally tried to read The Lord of the Rings 3 or 4 times now but every time I pick it up, I end up quitting. I want to like it I really do but his writing is just SO BORING. I don't think Ive been able to get more then a chapter or 2 in.

7.) A popular book troupe that you are tired of seeing.

Answer: CLICHE BOY MEETS GIRL SCENARIOS. Now I am a huge fan of YA and NA romances but Im having some real problems these days enjoying them because all of them are the same. Its always about a average, innocent, book loving girl who falls in love with a perfect specimen of a man who looks like someone off one of those bags from Hollister. Its also mandatory that he always says these perfect one liners and has such rage tester one levels that he picks fights with everyone around him. IM SO SICK OF THIS. Is it impossible to find a romance in which the woman is the dominating person in the relationship and maybe the guy is the insecure and innocent one? I just want someone to switch things up once in a while!

8.) A popular series that you have no interest in reading.

Answer: 50 Shades of Grey. Not my thing what so ever. I am literally so sick of hearing people take about this stupid series. Stop. Just stop. Its gross and makes me lose a tad bit of respect for you every time you mention it.

9.) The saying always goes, "the book is always better then the movie", but what movie or tv show adaptation did you like more then the book?

Answer: The Martian by: Andy Weir. Im sorry but the book just confused the hell out of me. While it was funny at parts, it was extremely boring and there was way to much random information in my opinion. The movie was quick, detailed and made a lot more sense then the book did in my opinion! Not to mention it had Matt Damon in it. Nothing I tell you, NOTHING, beats Matt Damon.

What is your least expensive book?
A: I have a couple that I could for $1 at a used book store!

2.) Wrath
Which author do you have a love/hate relationship with?
A: Nicholas Sparks. I have only read 2 of his books (The Notebook
and A walk to Remember) and both time I was kind of let down.
There is so much hype around his books so I was expecting a lot
and I was kind of let down. I did love the romance in his novels
            though!

3.) Gluttony
Which book/books can you deliciously devoured over and over again
        with no shame at all?
A: ANYTHING by Cassandra Clare (Gosh, she's my hero) and also
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins! And then don't
even get me started on The Fault in our Stars....

4.) Sloth
Which book have you neglected to read due to laziness?
A: Gone by Michael Grant. I bought it and now I don't and can't bring
myself to read the stupid thing.

5.) Pride
Which book do you like to make known that you read so that you can
       sound like a literary genius?
A: Jane Austen :) I also love going on Goodreads to memorizing deep
and famous quotes so that I can recite them in public at the right
          moment!

6.) Lust
What attributes do you mind most attractive in male or female
       characters?

Male: Beautiful eyes (preferably blue or gold), dimples, a great sense
of humour, abs, sensitive, conscientious, reliable, smart
Female: INDEPENDENT (none of this damsel in distress stuff), caring,
                       intelligent, brave, kick ass, reliable

7.) Envy
Whose book collections are you most envious of?
A: All of the book tubers I watch daily!! They all have collections of
about 300+ books and I'm here with my empty wallet!
